PARENTAL STYLES OF EDUCATION AND CHILDREN’S SHYNESS

Summary

The impact of parental styles of education on shyness and involvement of students in the process of teaching is explored by using survey research method. Parental styles of education are examined in three categories – desirable, undesirable, and divergent. People are social beings, and most of their needs and activities are achieved through interaction with other people. Shyness is therefore a unique experience of each individual. The term shyness is widely used in everyday speech, but it is not fully understood and explained. The key question in this study is whether the different levels of parental styles of education determine the children‟s shyness.

Keywords: parenthood, parental styles of education, the level of children‟s shyness, school success.
